Coworking in Horsham
As a freelancer in the web industry, I've worked from home for quite a few years. However, there is a thing called coworking that I like to do now and again. My problem is that there aren't any free, cheap, flexible coworking spaces or groups in Horsham (West Sussex) where I live.
So, that's why I've started one.
It might only be a casual thing. It might get more 'serious' with a permanent space in the future. Either way, Horsham needs a coworking initiative!
So, what happened?
A coworking jelly meet-up was held on Wednesday 28th March 2012. This was the first casual co-working event in Horsham.
We had 12 people attend during the day, the venue was great, everyone was productive and there was lots of chat and laughs.
Subsequent meetings seemed to go well and the meet-ups are now fortnightly [usually every other Wednesday].

The location is Carmela's Italian Restaurant, Denne Road, in their upstairs room. It has free WiFi and can seat ~ 15 people.

A coworking jelly is great for freelancers, home workers and small business owners who can get away from their usual work space, meet new people, work, talk and collaborate in a friendly environment. Just turn up with your laptop on the day.
